Bulletin Intelligence Announces Michael Laxineta as President of Custom Briefings Subsidiary

RESTON, VA -- (July 22, 2013) -- Bulletin Intelligence LLC, which locates and analyzes news and other forms of open-source intelligence for top-level corporate and government decision makers, including the White House and Fortune 500 C-Suites, today announced the appointment of media and content-marketing executive Michael Laxineta as President of its Custom Briefings subsidiary.

Custom Briefings partners with associations to deliver to their members the latest news directly relevant to their professions. These daily briefings, which carry advertising, are consistently rated as a top member benefit. Laxineta is responsible for all elements of the business, with a day-to-day focus on strategy, partner development, advertising sales and marketing. Additionally, he oversees network-wide national advertising sales for Custom Briefings as well as another Bulletin Intelligence subsidiary, BulletinHealthcare. Collectively, these subsidiaries deliver nearly 1 million daily email briefings to members of three-dozen professional associations.

“We are dedicated to building Custom Briefings from what amounts to an internal startup into a thriving leader in the space,” says Bulletin Intelligence Chairman and CEO Paul Roellig. “Michael has extensive integrated-media experience, but we ultimately selected him for his track record of creating successful new businesses.”

Most recently, Laxineta was a content marketing executive, including SVP, Sales and Marketing for D.C.-based TMG Custom Media. Before TMG, Laxineta was Managing Director, Marketing and Sales Development for TMN—the national advertising sales arm of the Tribune Company—and served in various leadership capacities for PR Newswire. He started in weekly newspapers in California, ultimately advancing to publisher. Laxineta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and is a graduate of the Executive Master’s in Technology Management program (EMTM) of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and School of Engineering.
